The Gospel Newsletter – April 2026

Great Is Thy Faithfulness

Family and friends, welcome back to the Gospel Newsletter – Great is Thy Faithfulness. This month carries a different weight — not the weight of heaviness, but the weight of responsibility. In March, God dealt with the heart and the mind. He exposed, He rebuilt, He renewed. But renewal is never meant to stay internal. Renewal must become alignment.

You can know truth and still not walk in it. You can hear God clearly and still not obey. You can be renewed in your mind and still misaligned in your steps. April is about closing that gap.

Alignment is where transformation becomes visible. It’s where maturity takes root. It’s where the renewed mind becomes a renewed life. Scripture doesn’t call us to simply hear the Word — it calls us to walk in it, live in it, and align with it.

This month, God is inviting you to examine the places where you know better but haven’t yet done better. Not in condemnation — but in clarity. Not in shame — but in truth. Because alignment is not about perfection; it’s about direction. It’s about choosing to walk with God in the areas where you once walked alone.

April is the month where excuses lose their power, where double‑mindedness loses its grip. where spiritual drift gets confronted, where obedience becomes your new normal.

And the beauty is this: God never calls you to align without giving you the strength to do it. He empowers what He commands. He strengthens what He reveals. He walks with you in every step you choose to surrender.

This is the month to walk in what you know. This is the month to align your life with His truth. This is the month to move from renewal to action.

Theme: The Power of Alignment - Walking in What You Know

Alignment is not a feeling it is a decision.  It is the moment when what you know becomes what you do. It is when revelation becomes responsibility.

Many believers stop at understanding. They hear the Word, they agree with the Word, they even repeat the Word, but they never align their life with the Word. And Scripture is clear: knowing without doing is deception (James 1:22). Not because God is harsh, but because truth that is not lived out becomes truth that is eventually ignored.

Alignment means your steps match your convictions.  Your habits match your prayers.  Your lifestyle matches your faith. Your choices match what God has already revealed.

This month, God is calling His people out of spiritual theory and into spiritual practice. Out of intention and into obedience. Out of “I know” and into “I walk.” Alignment is where transformation becomes visible.

The Danger of Knowing but Not Doing

There is a quiet danger in the Christian walk: becoming familiar with truth but never formed by it.

You can hear sermons, read Scripture, take notes, highlight verses, and remain unchanged if your life never aligns with what you’ve learned. This is why Jesus said the wise man is not the one who hears His words, but the one who does them (Matthew 7:24).

Knowing without doing creates spiritual stagnation.  Doing without knowing creates spiritual burnout. But knowing and doing — that creates spiritual maturity.

God is not asking you to be perfect. He is asking you to be obedient. He is asking you to walk in what you already know. Some breakthroughs are not waiting on more revelation — they are waiting for alignment with the revelation you already have.

Walking in Alignment With the Word

James 1:22 — “Be doers of the Word…” Hearing truth is not enough. Agreement is not obedience. Transformation requires action.

Romans 12:2 — “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Renewal leads to transformation. Transformation leads to alignment. Alignment leads to clarity about God’s will.

•        The Word instructs.

•        The Spirit empowers.

•        Alignment activates.

When your life aligns with God’s truth, you walk in authority, clarity, and spiritual strength. “Walk With Me” “I am calling you into alignment. Not into striving, but into walking. Not into pressure, but into obedience. You have carried revelation — now it is time to live it. Walk with Me in the places where you once hesitated. Walk with Me in the areas where fear once ruled. Walk with Me in the decisions you delayed. Walk with Me in the truth you already know. For as you align your steps with My Word, I will align your life with My promises. And what once felt impossible will become natural, because you are walking with Me.”

 A New Life in Christ

Transformation requires us to become new creatures in Christ, as stated in 2 Corinthians 5:17. This newness is not superficial; it is a fundamental change in our nature and identity, brought about by our connection to Jesus. In John 15:1-8, Jesus describes himself as the “true vine”, while his followers are the branches. He emphasizes that staying connected to him is vital for spiritual life, fruitfulness, and answered prayer. God the Father is the gardener, pruning believers so they can bear more fruit. Those who do not remain connected to Jesus are cut off, resulting in spiritual barrenness and judgment. It is essential for us to maintain a close relationship with Jesus only by abiding in him can we bear fruit; apart from him we are powerless. Branches what fail to produce fruit are removed, but those who remain in Christ receive answered prayers and bring glory to God. This ongoing connection and obedience lead to a life that reflect God’s abundance and faithfulness.

The Blessings and Cures of Obedience

In Deuteronomy 28, Moses addresses the children of Israel, and his words remain relevant for believers in Jesus Christ today. The chapter begins with a call to listen diligently – “Hearken” to the voice of the Lord our God. This means paying careful attention and obeying ALL of God’s commandments not just the ten commandments our parents teach us or specific rules, but every instruction that He gives in the Bible.

The Promise of Blessings

God promises that if we listen and obey His voice, He will set us high above all nations of the earth. As a result, blessings will come upon us and overtake us. These blessings are clearly outlined in the verses of the chapter, showing the abundant favor that follows obedience.

The Consequence of Disobedience

However, the passage also warns of the curses that will come upon us if we fail to listen and obey. From verse 15 onward, Moses continues to address the believers emphasizing that disobedience leads to consequences. Both blessings and curses are tied directly to our willingness to heed God’s commands and act upon His word.

To change the quality of our lives we must live by God’s rules, laws, and His principles and all his instructions given for our spiritual protection and growth. Scripture teaches us to apply our hearts to instruction and our ears to words of knowledge (Proverbs23:12). We are also commanded to guard our hearts with all diligence because out of the heart flows the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).

Even after accepting Jesus Christ, we are reminded that there is still a struggle within us. As Paul writes, “I find a law, that when I would do good, evil is present with me” (Romans7:21). Salvation does not remove our responsibility to walk in obedience. Accepting Christ does not mean that every blessing is automatically received without discipline and submission to God’s ways. Scripture is clear that obedience matters. In Deuteronomy 28, God sets before believers’ blessings for listening to and doing all His commandments and statues, and consequences for disobedience. We either walk in His blessings or allow curses by our choices.

  Transformation Through the Word

Genuine transformation is achieved when we consistently apply the teachings of God’s word to our lives. Proverbs 23:7 remind us, For as he thinks in his heart, so is he, emphasizing that our thoughts and beliefs shape our identity and actions. If we repeatedly focus on a particular issue or attitude, it becomes embedded within us, ultimately guiding the direction of our lives. Immersing ourselves in scripture and allowing it to inform and direct our thinking is essential for lasting change and spiritual growth.

Instructions for Christian Living

According to Ephesians 4:22-24, believers are taught to leave behind their former way of life by putting off the old self, which is corrupted by deceitful desires. Proverbs 4:13 advise us to take firm hold of instruction and keep it close for it is our life. Similarly, 1 Peter1:13-14 instruct us to keep our minds alert and sober to be obedient, and not to conform to the evil desires that once ruled us in ignorance verse 16 underscores the calling “Be holy, because I am holy”.

As followers of Christ, we are urged to apply our hearts to instruction and our ears to words of knowledge, as stated in Proverbs 23:12. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us that the issues of life flow from our hearts, so we must guard it diligently. Proverbs 3:2-4 reminds us of the promise attached to obedience verse 2 declares that God’s instruction brings length of days, long life, and peace.

When Scripture tells us to bind them around your neck, it symbolizes keeping love and faithfulness visible and active like a necklace worn for all to see. Writing then on the table of the heart means these virtues must become part of our inner character, shaping not only actions but also our motives and attitudes verse 4 contains a promise, but I will not explain it for you pick up your Bible and read it for yourself, show yourself approved unto God and read.

Proverbs 3:5-6 give us another powerful promise. God instructs us to trust in Him with all our heart, lean not on our own understanding, and acknowledge Him in all our ways. God promises that when we do this, He will direct our path.

The Blessings and Curses of Obedience

Moses’ Message to Believers — Deuteronomy 27 (go read)

Moses’ Message to Believers — Deuteronomy 27 (go read)

Before Israel crossed into the promise, Moses with the elders of Israel stood before the people and delivered one of the most sobering and hope‑filled messages in all of Scripture. He laid out two paths — not to scare them, but to prepare them. Not to shame them, but to anchor them. Not to burden them, but to protect them.

And that same message should speak to us today.

The Blessings of Obedience — Deuteronomy 28:1–14 (go read)

Moses told the people plainly of what the Lord had said if you obey the Lord, if you walk in His ways, if you align your life with His Word — blessings will follow you.

These blessings

•        Your home

•        Your work

•        Your health

•        Your relationships

•        Your resources

•        Your battles

•        Your future

•        Your children

•        Your influence

He said blessings would overtake you — meaning you don’t have to chase them.

Obedience draws what striving never can.

The Curses of Disobedience — Deuteronomy 28:15–68 (go read)

Then Moses warned them with seriousness:

If you refuse to obey, if you turn from God’s ways, if you walk in rebellion — consequences will follow.

Moses described:

•        Confusion

•        Frustration

•        Lack

•        Defeat

•        Emotional instability

•        Spiritual blindness

•        Bondage

•        Brokenness

•        Fear

•        Restlessness

These were not punishments meant to destroy them — they were warnings meant to wake them. Moses wasn’t trying to scare Israel. He was trying to save Israel.

He was saying “Choose life. Choose obedience. Choose alignment.”

If Moses stood before the church right now, his message would sound the same:

“Beloved, God has set before you, life and death, blessing and cursing.

Choose life. Choose obedience. Choose alignment.

Do not expect the blessings of obedience while living in the habits of rebellion.
